This past weekend I had the pleasure of meeting the newest member of the family-baby Alice! It was so wonderful to spend time with my cousin and his family, and to capture these pictures for them. Alice was so snuggly and behaved so well the entire shoot!
Recently I decided to hold “super mini-sessions” at my house the week before Valentine’s Day. I was so excited to have the opportunity to take pictures of these adorable little ones! It was also nice to catch up with some friends and make new ones! Although I prefer taking pictures outside, my home has great lighting and I am excited for the opportunity to set up a small studio space for future opportunities like this one.
My family moved into a house about two months ago. We have more space and lots of light! We even have space for me to set up a studio, which is VERY exciting. I love taking pictures outside, but during the winter it’s often too cold to take young children outside for pictures. My studio is not set up yet, but I did a rush job and set up this backdrop and floor to capture some pictures of my girls (and then decided to advertise super mini-sessions). I’m super excited about the possibilities that this studio will provide for me. Also, aren’t my kids adorable?!
It is really hard for me to believe my baby is turning one year old tomorrow! The past year has flown by and while it was probably the hardest year of my life thus far (this sweet baby girl screamed 24/7 for her first 3 months), it’s also been the best year. Adalind is so sweet and loves to snuggle, but she’s also super feisty and independent. She was VERY excited when she saw her cake, but she wasn’t sure how she felt about the icing-because of that she really didn’t eat any of the cake! But at least she looked ADORABLE.
If there’s one thing I love, it’s BABIES. I have two little girls of my own and I absolutely adore them. So of course I jumped at the chance to do cake smash pictures for this super sweet little girl. Her smile is absolutely infectious!! Her mother and I both thought she was going to destroy the cake but she ate some of the icing and was done! I guess you really never know what babies are going to do.
