I absolutely love when families ask me to take pictures of them multiple times!! It was a cold and snowy day (obviously snowy, haha), but everyone braved the weather and the pictures are absolutely GORGEOUS!! I can’t get enough of these sweet little girls. This family is the sweetest!!
This adorable family moved into the area recently and I was so happy to have the opportunity to do family pictures for them. Look at their baby girl, she is so CUTE!! One thing I love about doing photography is getting to know everyone I do pictures for, and I really loved getting to know the Shorts!
I had the pleasure of doing family pictures for the Barnes family last year, and I was so excited when they asked me again this year. Last year when we did pictures it was incredibly hot, but the weather was absolutely perfect this year! They are expecting a baby girl in the spring and I couldn’t be happier for them! Babies are such a gift and I know their little boy is going to be the best big brother.
Not too long ago it was scorching hot outside and suddenly it’s changed to nice, cool fall weather! Fall is my favorite season and it feels so nice to be outside and not be too hot. The weather was perfect when I met with the DeCarlo family in Harper’s Ferry. They are the most adorable family and they are expecting another baby girl later this year!
I was absolutely SO excited to do this family session! I graduated in the same class as Mike and Megan from Mount St Mary’s University, and it was so fun to go back. The campus was just as beautiful as always! The leaves were starting to change colors and it was a beautiful, cool day. Also, Megan and Mike have the cutest family! Their girls were so cute and loved getting their picture taken. I had a blast photographing them.
This week I did a sibling session for two brothers and it was such a great time. I am dying over the cuteness of these brothers!! Christian is the best big brother and you could really see and feel how much he loves his little brother. We have been in the middle of a heatwave lately but luckily it wasn’t too bad the evening we did this shoot. Plus, we chose a beautiful location for the pictures!
Let me start off by saying I love this family so much! They are dear friends of mine and their children are just so adorable and precious. They picked the absolute BEST location for their pictures. It was close by, and although I had driven by it several times before-I had never realized how beautiful it was until we stopped for pictures. It was a cloudy evening and even a little bit of rain, but the major rain held off and everything turned out great! Aren’t they the absolute sweetest?!
Last week I decided to be brave and take my two girls to a tulip farm-by myself. I had been reading about this tulip festival online for a while and I was dying to check it out. Acres of flowers, a shaded picnic area, and an area for kids with a bounce house and other fun things. It was a long drive but we headed out early that morning for our adventure! My oldest loved it and really enjoyed seeing all of the flowers. She picked out the tulips she wanted and helped to put them in our basket. My youngest…well you can tell from the pictures how she felt about the farm. We didn’t stay very long-but long enough to get some cute pictures and to pick some beautiful tulips for our home!
It’s been a LONG winter and even though it’s mid-April the weather is still pretty chilly. But this past weekend we had a few really beautiful days, so it was the perfect time to do this maternity session!! The backdrop is an old tobacco barn on my grandfather’s property, which worked perfectly for what Cody and Alex wanted. I love how these pictures turned out so much that it was hard to narrow them down! I am so excited for this super sweet couple and I can’t wait for them to welcome their baby girl next month!
