Historic Harper’s Ferry

A month or so ago I did a family photo session at this location. It was the first time I’ve been there and I LOVED it. There were so many different spots that made for a beautiful backdrop-we didn’t even get to use all of them that day! I’ve been trying to find time to go back and take some shots just for fun, but this month has been very busy because we’re MOVING in less than a week!! Just a few days ago I booked another family session at this location, I’m really looking forward to going back! Who knows…maybe there will even be snow on the ground by then 😮.

Early Morning Landscapes

We spent some time with family this week for Thanksgiving. It was so nice to see everyone and to eat a lot of delicious food! My toddler got to play with her cousin and our family received some VERY exciting news!! While we were there my baby didn’t sleep very well (teething)-but when I got up very early this morning I saw that outside was beautiful. The sun was rising, there was frost on the ground, and fog over the water. Even though it was freezing outside I decided I couldn’t pass up the chance to snap some pictures. I have to say I am pleased with how these turned out! My dad’s property is beautiful and I can’t wait to visit again in a few weeks and hopefully get some pictures at my mom’s and also of my sister’s wedding.

Spearing Family Portraits

It was beautiful this past weekend and it was the perfect evening spent at Antietam National Battlefield doing family portraits for the Spearing Family.  I had never been to Antietam before, but I thought it was lovely.  I can’t wait to go back to go on a photography walk and just capture images of the beautiful park, but I digress.

The Spearing family is absolutely darling!  It was so fun photographing them and I am so thankful for the opportunity!

Summer’s Maternity Session

Summer is a good friend of mine who moved away recently.  So of course I jumped on the chance to do maternity pictures for her so I would be able to hang out with her again!  She’s having a little girl, and could not possibly have a cuter bump!  She was absolutely glowing and looked so amazing.  It was a perfect evening in Harper’s Ferry I loved how these pictures turned out.  I could only wish that I looked like that when I was pregnant!

Sanchez Family Photos

This past week I had the opportunity to take family pictures for this super cute family.  Danielle was a really good friend of mine in high school and I hadn’t seen her since, so it was really nice to see her and catch up.  Her two children are absolutely delightful and I loved looking at their facial expressions as I went through my film.  As we did the session you could just really tell how much love they had for each other and that was so special.

Bridal Shower Week

This past weekend we celebrated my sister’s bridal shower.  She’s getting married in December and I am so excited for her and her fiancé! I can’t wait to see how beautiful their winter wedding comes together.  Her bridal shower had a tropical theme, full of pineapples, bright flowers, and delicious food!  My two girls and I spent the week there and it was so nice to spend time with family.  It was a perfect week spent with family and friends. Plus, it’s now officially fall-which is the BEST season! I have a busy October coming up, which I am very excited about.

Barnes Family Portraits

Over the past weekend I had the opportunity to take family pictures for an adorable family. I love this family dearly and I can’t stand how cute their little one is!! I am thankful for their friendship and thankful for the great example they’ve set for me over the last couple of years. It was a hot evening for pictures, but they were all such great troopers-Plus there was ice cream afterwards!

Samuel’s Senior Portraits

Recently I had the pleasure of doing Senior portraits for Samuel.  He is such a sweet and genuine young man! I had a great evening hanging out with him and his mother.  Being a senior in high school is such a special time!  It seems so long ago I was in the same place in life and being nervous thinking about what college I was going to attend and what the future held for me.   Anyway, The weather has been unusually cool for this time of year, but it made it the perfect evening for walking around and taking pictures.  Fall is my favorite season and I’m really looking forward to seeing all the leaves changing.

A Family Outing

One of my favorite things to do is to spend time as a family. My husband is very busy between his job, schooling, and church calling-so I really treasure the times we get to do something all together! Yesterday was the perfect morning to spend in Harper’s Ferry. The weather was beautiful and our toddler LOVED playing in the water, not even the promise of ice cream could get her to stop playing! Our baby slept for most of the time we were at the waterfront. Afterwards we did get some delicious ice cream and drove around looking at pretty homes.  Sometimes it’s so hard to get good pictures of my toddler because she’s always so busy and won’t sit still for a picture, so I’m extra happy with these pictures from today.  I feel so thankful to have an eternal family!
