My family moved into a house about two months ago. We have more space and lots of light! We even have space for me to set up a studio, which is VERY exciting. I love taking pictures outside, but during the winter it’s often too cold to take young children outside for pictures. My studio is not set up yet, but I did a rush job and set up this backdrop and floor to capture some pictures of my girls (and then decided to advertise super mini-sessions). I’m super excited about the possibilities that this studio will provide for me. Also, aren’t my kids adorable?!
It is really hard for me to believe my baby is turning one year old tomorrow! The past year has flown by and while it was probably the hardest year of my life thus far (this sweet baby girl screamed 24/7 for her first 3 months), it’s also been the best year. Adalind is so sweet and loves to snuggle, but she’s also super feisty and independent. She was VERY excited when she saw her cake, but she wasn’t sure how she felt about the icing-because of that she really didn’t eat any of the cake! But at least she looked ADORABLE.
A few weeks ago I posted about doing pictures for a temple ceremony at the LDS Temple in Kensington, MD. I also photographed their wedding reception as well. It was close to Christmas, so the reception was decorated with Christmas trees and Christmas colors and everything was adorable! There was even a hot chocolate bar! Here are just a few of the more “artistic” pictures I took of the reception decor.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to photograph a small wedding at the beautiful LDS temple in Kensington, MD. It was a little bit cloudy out but was perfect for pictures! The temple is the most peaceful place and I really enjoyed walking around the beautiful grounds. This was the first wedding I’ve photographed and while it was more exhausting than I anticipated, I loved it! It’s such a special time for the bride, groom, and their families-and I love witnessing all the happiness!
The end of 2017 was a very busy time for my family and I’m a little behind updating my blog! My family moved into a new home, my sister got married and then we had the holidays! Now that the holidays are over things have started to settle down and it’s time to get serious! The day we took these photos was cold! But now looking back, it was definitely warm compared to the weather we’ve been having lately. I really love these pictures-they are some of my favorites!
It’s been getting a little colder lately but I don’t mind chilly sessions because I love seeing everyone bundled up! Fall is my favorite season and I love when it gets chilly enough to wear sweaters, scarves, and boots. Even though it was a little chilly the day we took these, everyone was in a great mood and the kids were such troopers! This family is so sweet and they have the most adorable children!
A month or so ago I did a family photo session at this location. It was the first time I’ve been there and I LOVED it. There were so many different spots that made for a beautiful backdrop-we didn’t even get to use all of them that day! I’ve been trying to find time to go back and take some shots just for fun, but this month has been very busy because we’re MOVING in less than a week!! Just a few days ago I booked another family session at this location, I’m really looking forward to going back! Who knows…maybe there will even be snow on the ground by then 😮.
We spent some time with family this week for Thanksgiving. It was so nice to see everyone and to eat a lot of delicious food! My toddler got to play with her cousin and our family received some VERY exciting news!! While we were there my baby didn’t sleep very well (teething)-but when I got up very early this morning I saw that outside was beautiful. The sun was rising, there was frost on the ground, and fog over the water. Even though it was freezing outside I decided I couldn’t pass up the chance to snap some pictures. I have to say I am pleased with how these turned out! My dad’s property is beautiful and I can’t wait to visit again in a few weeks and hopefully get some pictures at my mom’s and also of my sister’s wedding.
Recently I had the opportunity to do family portraits for this gorgeous family! We finally have had some beautiful fall weather and this was an absolutely wonderful evening. We went to a little historic location nearby for these pictures, and it didn’t disappoint! It was so quaint and almost magical feeling. I can’t wait to go back and explore the area again.
It was beautiful this past weekend and it was the perfect evening spent at Antietam National Battlefield doing family portraits for the Spearing Family. I had never been to Antietam before, but I thought it was lovely. I can’t wait to go back to go on a photography walk and just capture images of the beautiful park, but I digress.
The Spearing family is absolutely darling! It was so fun photographing them and I am so thankful for the opportunity!
